Pre-Thesis

Hello All!

I have posted my Pre-Thesis on my website, I still need to expand on my literature review. I would appreciate any suggestions for improvement. I have decided to expand on the project (idea) I started in ETEC 544. Dr. Baek made a couple of suggestions that I plan to explore in this course.

hi Carla

I think you have a great start on your thesis. You have a need that you have analized well.

I agree with Maria, you've made a great start. I'm glad we had an opportunity to begin this process in 544. The group project was a nightmare, but the individual project was very helpful. Your pre-thesis looks good.

Hi, Carla. Great work so far. One thing comes to mind that you may have already considered: How will your users find the tutorials? We have a tremendous amount of information on our intranet that is avaialbe to users that is often not used because they forget where to go to find it. Not trying to be critical, just something I have experienced. Good work! Bill

Carla, I found quite a few articles under EPSS (Dr. Baek's suggestion)and elearning. There's also teacher technology training and readiness. If I find an article that's a good fit for my project, I look at those references and I search on the keywords identified for that article. I have to keep notes on what I've already searched for and where, and what I still need to look at. But, I'm old and easily confused. For instance, I just noticed I'm on my son George's account but I'm too lazy to sign out and sign back in again! Darlene

Hi Carla

Thanks for you comment on my Pre-Thesis. I just need to decide if I should make my project into a online training or just a word document training.

Regarding Bill's comment...

Very good point. This can be dramatized in a localized case just by looking at your own PC, especially if you're a pack rat. You just know you put that file somewhere....
